National Skills Week 2017

Entering their seventh year, National Skills Week (August 28 – September 3) aims to celebrate the diversity and career pathways through vocational education, enabling Australians to gain a greater understanding of the opportunities of the future.

Drake Collectibles has expanded to a worldwide market

From little things, big things grow. That statement is true for Drake Trailers sister brand Drake Collectibles, who has launched their die cast truck model business to a worldwide market back in 2010.

Each month, we focus in on one of our valued customers who have taken a recent delivery from The Drake Group. Our Customer is Focus for August is Schwarz Evacuations, who is a well-respected rail maintenance and civil construction company based in Central Queensland.

Drake Trailers to transport a dozen Komatsu 830E haul trucks

It’s been an exciting year for The Drake Group, with the second half of 2017 seeing us work on some unique projects. Drake Trailers has been working alongside National Plant & Equipment in preparation for the arrival of 12 new Komatsu 830E electric drive haul trucks.

 If we were running a trailer popularity contest, our Deck Widener would take the prize recently, with five of our clients – Boots Construction, Gunn Heavy Haulage, Gellies Earthmoving, Weismantel Heavy Haulage and Troy Heavy Haulage – all driving off with our classic Quad Deck Widener in the past few months alone.
